Mia, I am enjoying your newletter immensley. I turned 65 in May and am questioning a lot about my life. I have never worried about ageing but this year it has bothered me. I feel like I have lost all my confidence. I haven't worked for several years and I am on Jobseeker. I have many health concerns so I can't just do any job, my doctor does not want me to work but Centrelink keep harrassing me and have raised the number of jobs I have to apply for from 4 to 12 per month. It is just a waste of time. But tell me who is going to employ me at 65? It's embarrassing enough that I am on jobseeker (my husband is on Jobseeker too, though he does have a casual job) and wondering whether we will have enough for our retirement, which is 2 and 1/2 years away. You brighten up my weekend with your newsletter. Anyway thanks for all your time and effort. PS Love the pink suit and hairdown

Hello Mia … this was a fabulous babble! I really enjoyed your comments esp that you are enraged at Biden s entitlement to continue! How much more dignified to not re stand … what an example to the world!

Thank you for sharing x

Hello Mia, Love trying to fit all your content into my week. I am appreciating the longer babble and evolve along with you, I remember you deciding to call it that based on some not so nice feedback! Just watched part one of sequin-gate, looking forward to part two and aslo exploring you wardrobe further. Have decided to have a few key pieces of neutral sequin to be there when needed, (including the white Joey Jacket and same in black vest, also loving military style).

I am on the hunt for a similar army jacket you have that you add brooches to, not alot around at the moment.

Also transitioning, (in style!!), from heels to more sensible flatforms, (because I am a shorty too), having trouble purging those I just know I will not wear anymore - that just in case moment, (insert eye roll).

Trying to do my colours myself and keep getting different results, I think im a winter, but which one? The skin tones on the quiz you posted did not represent me I feel. Pink-neutral I was once called by Mecca specialists?

Anyway, I will persist and Mia and Team, Thank you, I always find something every day.

Mia I so enjoy sitting down with you for a chat, that is exactly what it feels like 💗 I need a friend like you in my life who throws out random thoughts and thought provoking ideas which challenge me. I often laugh and cry with you and hard relate to many of your views on the world. You are so candid and open and are not afraid to show your fears and failures ( I’m talking shoe jewelry here 🤣) I’m in my late sixties and struggling with acceptance of my new circle body, the huge modern day focus on aging is taking away from the enjoyment and contentment we should be feeling in our later years as we step off the hamster wheel and start to transition into a slower more gentle phase of life. You are so right, we can’t stop the internal hands of time. Love your new Babble platform, it feels safer and more intimate x

Hi Mia, love love love watching you put on your make up (is that weird 🤣🤣🤣). The pink suit is definitely boardroom meeting 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 and I could listen to you babble all day about anything - I learn stuff (at 60 OMG that sounds old when i say it 🤪) and I love that. Anyway, have a good week. Sharon 🌸

Squirting the foundation over your shoulder. I enjoyed all your thoughts, discussion points and fashion but knowing you would never go back and deal with that foundation on the carpet/wherever just delights me and makes me feel seen as an also competent women who struggles with little random things. Gosh yes, happy to ditch Instacrap and tune into you here. I love your content. I LOVE all your clothes and your bravery in how you mix and match things up. I live vicariously through you for this. I also think you are wise and thoughtful about everything from world politics to the shape of our aging bodies, yet you make it so relatable and always make me laugh. You’re a true gem!
