Classic! Aww Mia. Teens. Same age I can remember taking 100s of selfie photos on my 2004 Panasonic flip phone, no filters or anything, just warm ambient lighting and strategic angles (chin up, eyes droopy, emo era gloom and attitude). Yeah, teens can get away with it! But it's also that element of trusting someone else. ADHD info dump: The only good pics taken by other people were taken by photographers, and lightly photoshopped. Usually best sat on a stool, photographer facing the subject diagonally, slightly above them, the subject looking slightly away from camera rather than right into the lens. And make them face the light. If the lighting is casting shadows the wrong way, of course they'll hate it.
