I didn’t really care until the pic. As

someone who has had abdo surgery there’s no way you’re wearing skinny jeans. So I now believe we aren’t being told the truth.

Also, as someone with a disability I don’t like their ableist attitude that they can’t be seen in public unless ‘perfect’. She could also do so much awareness by being more public

about her condition, if it is actually physical/surgical

Valid thoughts.

I would never have noticed the many and pointless photo alterations. What I did notice, immediately, was that there was no way the photo was current, it was probably taken pre surgery, hence the skinny jeans and trees with leaves. As an effort at 'proof of life' it was a fail, and should have stated when the photo was taken, rather than giving the impression that it was recent. Plus it was a poor composition.

On extended sick leave? Don't post photos. Not even for Mother's Day. That would have worked out a little better.

I've just checked out the photo on our large TV. Have another look at the leaves. When the photo was taken, it would have been early to mid March. The leaves are a lovely pale green and not fully out, which is exactly what I'd expect for this time of year.

As to the skinny jeans, I've worn skinny jeans home from hospital after abdominal surgery, and even after major surgery to rebuild a kidney, so I really wouldn't expect Kate to be unable to wear them six weeks post surgery.

Her name is and always was, Catherine. Catherine, the Princess of Wales (or Middleton if you must) but she’s only ever been Kate in the media. Her friends and family call her CATHERINE.

The royals are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

What I find much more damning is the prevailing attitude that the public is 'owed' a blow by blow report of Kate's surgery and convalescence. When that's not provided, it seems to be a case of wall to wall negative criticism.

When did we become so nasty? Why did we become so nasty? I don't give two hoots what surgery Kate has undergone. Several congenital conditions have led to my having to undergo more than 70 surgical procedures on almost every part of my body. People take different lengths of time to recover from surgery depending on their pain tolerance, fitness, age, and the type of surgery.

The only people qualified to have an opinion on this are Kate, her family, and her medical team.

Only the British public believe they're owed something. I don't think the rest of us care.
