The socks conversation is interesting! I actually converted to knee socks (which nobody sees) as I was tired of feeling cold ankles or the area just above. Jeans are the category I truly care about though!

Mia! It is not the first rodeo for this jeans shape….I was born in 1961, squeezed in to the late boomer years and we had these for a very brief moment in the early 80s. They were called paper bag jeans, the fit was scrunched around the waist so slightly different but the leg was definitely the balloon shape. I had a pair.

Being of that era of Princess Di everything I never really got my groove on with the ankle socks. I did try, but they slip off size ten feet and leave your ankles cold. Let me tell you this is truly a boon……crew socks are way more comfortable. Except perhaps in the worst of Sydney humidity.

I’m 53 & I prefer ankle socks for 2 reasons. 1st can’t stand socks slip into sneakers & 2nd it’s hard to get longer soft socks for thicker ankles. Sorry but comfort over fashion in this case.

Such a great article. The sock debate is FASCINATING and I credit Kate from WearsMyMoney for encouraging the use of crew socks. I’m putting them and that phone thing on my list.

Just bought the sticky phone things. And my camera roll already thought it had a lot of selfies 😬
